3. The core and rod are generally made of Ni Zn ferrite (NX Series) or Mn Zn ferrite (MX Series) and other materials, which have various shapes such as I-shaped, column shaped, cap shaped, E-shaped and can shaped.
4. The core materials mainly include silicon steel sheet, permalloy, etc., and their shapes are mostly "e" type.
5. In order to avoid the influence of magnetic field produced by some inductors on the normal operation of other circuits and components, a metal screen cover (such as oscillation coil of semiconductor radio) is added. The inductor with shield will increase the loss of coil and decrease the Q value.
6. After some inductors (such as color code inductor and color ring inductor) are wound, the coil and magnetic core are sealed with packaging materials. The packaging materials are plastic or epoxy resin.
